Career Day is an exciting time to ponder the future. In March, professionals across various industries visit local schools in an effort to encourage the next generation to start thinking about that age old question: what do I want to be when I grow up? For Dr. Zach Truman, he aspired to give people the confidence to smile. Ten years of schooling and twenty years of private practice later, Dr. Truman is among Las Vegas’ most trusted orthodontists. 

Recently, Pinecrest Academy – Inspirada invited Dr. Truman to present at its Career Day event.

As part of a demonstration, Clinical manager and TruCrew member Tristin scanned a volunteer’s mouth using an iTero scanner. Back at the office, this is a task performed by a clinical assistant. The information gathered by the scanner allows both Dr. Truman and the assistant to document and track a patient’s progress – and even predict treatment outcomes. 

Doctors offices are also supported by non-medical professionals, including those that work in administration, human resources, client relations, and sales. And, to get ready for the hustle and bustle of career day, Truman Orthodontics’ marketing department designed an informative and interactive presentation, finalized the day’s itinerary with Pinecrest staff, and prepared dental kits for every student to take home. It was a bit of deja vu for the TruCrew, as they recently talked to Pinecrest Inspirada’s kindergarteners, first, and second graders about the importance of good oral habits.
